What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is a scientifically based complementary medicine which can be used alone or in conjunction with conventional medicine or other therapies. It offers a tailored approach to diet and lifestyle in order to promote optimal health.
Nutrition has been established to play a key role in the promotion and maintenance of good health at any age or stage in life. Conventional medicine and other therapies can, of course, address many conditions, but without a good diet, optimal health may not be realized. Moreover, nutritional therapy has been clinically demonstrated to reduce the prescription of drugs.

About the team
We are from a new generation of the most highly trained Nutritional Therapists (NTs) in the UK. Our qualifications include:

How it works
NT can improve the wellbeing of individuals from all over the health spectrum. It can play a vital role, alongside other therapies, in the recovery or management of chronic or serious conditions and is often used to address the following:

NT can also provide long term cost effective management of health and stress levels. Just a few sessions with a well qualified NT can provide the tools to improve energy levels, thus reducing the need to spend money on other activities and therapies. Eating healthily need not be expensive or time consuming. An NT can show you how to shop and cook to suit your individual budget and lifestyle.

Why see a Nutritional Therapist?
Rising levels of obesity, concerns about school dinners, fast food and food safety along with the growth of farmers markets, organic food, celebrity chefs and detoxification diets, have all created a new awareness of the importance of nutrition. However, conflicting media reports about omega 3 fish oils, essential fatty acids, and vitamin and minerals have caused confusion. A scientifically qualified NT can discuss these issues and help clients make well informed food and supplement choices.

Consultations

Prior to the consultation, you will be asked to complete some paperwork detailing your symptoms and health history together with dietary and lifestyle habits. The initial consultation lasts about an hour and a half. At the end of the first consultation you will have an initial programme to start working with. This usually involves dietary changes and may include supplementation to help support the programme.

The follow-up consultation usually occurs about 4 weeks later and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes.  This will involve a review of the progress so far plus formulating a further programme if necessary.
